Halloween Spotty Mani - BM-224
Please forgive me as I've gone for another simple Halloween mani. I've been far too lazy to do anything intricate or freehand, actually I believe I've lost my freehand skills so I'm going to stick with stamping for now until I get them back!
To create the following look I used Barry M Coral, a jelly perfect for sandwiches and Nubar Black Polka Dots. This is the first time I've tried this polish and I'm a little bit disappointed with it as it took some effort to pick up the bigger hex pieces of glitter.

OPI On Her Majesty's Secret Service
Hi ladies!
My friend at work (hello Marie) told me I needed to put up a post asap so here I am with another polish from OPI's Skyfall collection, On Her Majesty's Secret Service. I overlooked this polish when I was at Olympia Beauty (stupid me) so had to pay full whack at Sally's.
Sharp eyes will see this polish is made up of pink, blue, green, gold/bronze particles in a greyish base. There is a hint of duochrome to the particles which is very obvious in low lit conditions. The formula for me was quite good. It was buttery smooth and only required two coats. Several bloggers have mentioned the smell of this polish being a bit like cheapy polish. I didn't really smell anything awful but then I do have a cold right now! Was it worth the full whack? For me yes as I don't have anything in my collection like this!
Have you ladies picked this up recently? Thanks for reading xx

Spooky Eyes Halloween Mani
Here's a quick fun mani for you lovely readers that I've been wanting to create since last Halloween and yes it's not the most original but it's a really good way to use glow in the dark polish. Enjoy
And here's a crappy image of it glowing!
Thanks for reading. xx

Barielle Shannon's Attitude
Today's polish was part of a little haul my friend brought back for me from a recent trip to NY. She did well with her choices and this one I'm particular happy to add to my collection. Barielle Shannon's Attitude is a purple jelly with fine holographic glitter as well as holographic bar glitter. It took about 3/4 coats to build the colour but in my opinion completely worth it. I hadn't seen this polish before, have you?

Sally Hansen Pumpkin Spice and some faux marbling BM-320
Today I want to show you Sally Hansen Pumpkin Spice. This black jelly with orange glitter came out last Halloween in the US but it recently turned up in my local Poundland. I read many complaints about how sheer it is so I wasn't really holding out for much but I must be in the minority because I love it. Yes it is sheer but it only took 3 coats to build up the opacity. It's perfect for Halloween.
At the weekend I tried to create a black and orange water marble mani but it still wasn't happening so I thought I'd fake one by stamping over PS with an image from BM-320.
The matte and glossy combo works but I wish the black stamping polish was more opaque.
And for kicks I decided to matify the whole thing. It didn't turn out a well as I had hoped.

OPI Live and Let Die (and some stamping)
Until today, when I picked up On Her Majesty's Secret Service, Live and Let Die was the only polish I had from OPI's Skyfall collection. The dark teal creme sprinkled with gold/green flecks seduced me when I was at Olympia Beauty and I didn't hesitate when I placed it to my basket. The formula is buttery smooth and a one coater if you're careful.
The flecks give the polish a starlit sky feel.
When I was photographing LALD I had a sudden feeling it may be a dupe Revlon's Rain Forest so I decided to do a comparison on a wheel. Luckily you can see from the swatches they're not. The green base is different and the flecks in LALD are not really duochromey like Rain Forest.
Now here is LALD stamped using images from a gorgeous plate I picked up from eBay for £7.99. I used Barry M gold foil which was fine but I had to work fast. The fine intricate detail means a lot less polish is picked up and so dries a lot quicker.
The images on this plate is massive and I would recommend this for ladies with bigger nails to really show off the designs. My little nails just don't have enough surface area!
Enjoy your weekend and thanks for reading. A x

China Glaze Make a Spectacle
Make a Spectacle is part of China Glaze's Wicked Halloween collection for 2012 and it is the only polish out of the whole collection that appealed to me and the only one I picked up at Olympia Beauty.
On first glace in the bottle it looks very much like Snow Globe, however, on the nail it is noticeably different. Both contain iridescent glitter but MAS has a predominate gold-green-blue iridescence whereas SG has an overriding blue iridescence.
I prefer the colours of Make a Spectacle over Snow Globe, they're definitely more to my liking! Have you tried this polish? Do you prefer this or do you like Snow Globe

Rimmel Metal Rush Royal Blue + BM -223
Hello!
Have you guys seen the new multichromes by Rimmel? I'm not sure how many there are but I spotted this one called 'Royal Blue' and had to have it. It's part of a new range called Metal Rush which is being promoted as '...unique metallic nail technology that changes tone with your moves'. This polish definitely lives up to the statement and flashes from pink - blue - green. The polish is quite sheer but builds up very well in two coats. It's also not very brush strokey which can be an issue with metallic finishes.
And because I cannot not stamp...
I stamped using Barry M Gelly - Blueberry. Thanks for reading!

Barry M Glitter Sandwich - Ruby Glitter + Nude
Hey everyone hope you're all having a good weekend!
This is a quick post to show you one of the new glitters Barry M have recently released, Ruby Glitter. A black and pink glitter in a clear base it has an 'Indie' feel and not something you would expect to see on sale in a drugstore. The formula is quite thick, the glitter goes on quite sparse but importantly it dries fast. I decided to sandwich this glitter between Barry M's Nude and the final result is quite nice.
What do you think? Have you picked up any of the new glitters? How would you wear this glitter?
