Hits Phenomena - Moonbow

This swatch is long over due but truth be told I've been a little afraid of this multichrome glittery beauty. In fact I've been putting off swatching the whole Phenomena collection because I just didn't want to suck at capturing their true beauty. Duochromes are hard enough but a multichrome, I can end up with over one hundred photos and still not be happy with a single one. But today I bit the bullet and swatched the gorgeous Moonbow for you.

This little baby does not need any introduction so here are the pics. Enjoy.
Multichrome glitter in a clear base
This multichrome glitter shifts from green, aqua, purple, magenta and at extreme angles you can see orange which you can see in the bottle.
The Phenomena collection is said to be very similar to the Ozotic Elytra polishes but at a much more affordable price.
In the pictures I layered two coats over a black base. The glitter is pretty dense so I think if you were to use this alone you would require about 3-4 coats for full coverage. I have absolutely no complaints about this polish but if I had to complain about something it would be the fact it's not 3-free.

Ah it's so awesome and distracting!
Do you own any of the polishes from this collection? How do you like to wear them?

**thanks to Barb for sending these polishes to me

Pink and Blue!

Today's NOTD colour combination was inspired by Ivana from Ivana Thinks Pink's recent two coloured manicures. I particularly liked her blue and pink combination because while I like pink on others I find it a little too much on my own 10 nails but combined the girliness is contained.

Furry Fuzzy Leopard Nails

Hi Ladies
Last night I finally got round to recreating the furry fuzzy neon leopard print mani on my actual nails.
For those of you who missed my original post I originally created this manicure on some fake nails using black flocking powder, but I wanted to do it on my own nails as fakes just look bad on me.
I used the same method and I am pleased with the results. The only issue I had was getting the black flocking powder to stick to the black area I drew on with an art pen. I drew on one blob then sprinkled powder on but the polish dried so quickly. Next time I think I will try using a slower drying polish.
In terms of longevity the fuzz didn't last long especially after washing my hands but this was probably due to the poor adhesion.

So what do you think? Do you think this is practical or just a one night thing? Will you give it a go?

essence - High Spirits

Hey ladies today I have another essence polish to share with you. This along with a number of other polishes came all the way from Canada with my friend who visited last month.

Canadian Haul. Wah so generous!
High Spirits is a khaki green creme laced with silver shimmer. At first I wasn't sure about the green and silver combo but once on I was pleasantly surprised at how complimentary they were.
The formula once again is fantastic and rival brands that are 10 times more expensive. Here I have only used two coats and have achieved a glossy even finish.
For the peanuts you pay (CAD$ 1.49, I think!) I can't believe what you get. Seriously essence need to come to the UK now, but in the mean time I want to thank my polish mule and enabler ;-) I know you're reading!
